Objectives
- For DA-RC Members, and Non-Members, to combine in teams in order to work as many stations in as many DXCC as possible on the 11m band
- To promote the radio sports concept on 11m and spread camaraderie amongst the 11m dx community in general
Modes & Frequencies
- SSB, AM, FM
- 26.200-27.700 MHz (Includes CB frequencies)
- Make your call on the call frequency and QSY
DXtreme Team Guidelines
- 3 operators (from the same or different DXCC)
- 3 callsigns
- 3 transmitters
- Remote station/s permitted
- 3 logs
- Teams may comprise members from different clubs or the same club
- Teams must be registered prior to participating
- A name is allocated to each team
Points
- All contacts are worth 1 point
- Contacts with stations in the same DXCC are valid
- Contacts with fellow team members are valid
- Only 1 contact per station is valid
- DXCC are multipliers however a DXCC multiplier can only be claimed by a team on 1 occasion (i.e. if 2 or 3 team members work 14 division then this DXCC can still only be claimed once as a multiplier in the final points score. QSO points for all contacts with 14 division stations still count though)
Scoring
- (Log 1 + Log 2 + Log 3) x unique DXCC = Total Score
- 224FT990 makes 180 QSOs with 20 DXCC, 14GY028 makes 220 QSOs with 15 DXCC and 17SW917 makes 100 QSO with 25 DXC
- Contest Manager notes that out of the 60 DXCC worked by the team, 40 DXCC are unique
- (180 + 220 + 100) x 40 = 20,000 points
- 14PR001 makes 300 QSOs with 41 DXCC, 47CV101 makes 210 QSOs with 30 DXCC and 217ED018 makes 40 QSOs with 5 DXCC
- Contest Manager notes that out of the 76 DXCC worked by the team, 50 are unique
- (300 + 210 + 40) x 50 = 27,500 points
Logs
- DXtreme Team log sheets are available from the Contest Manager via email
- All log sheets much contain the following fields: Date, Progressive RX & TX, Callsign, Frequency, Mode and Time (UTC)
- In case of contact with non-participating stations, RX progressive number 001 should be recorded in the log
- QSL cards are not necessary to confirm contacts for any participants
- Log deadline is 1 February 2014
- Electronic and paper log submission allowed
- By submitting a log to the Contest Manager the entrant agrees to have the log uploaded to the DA-RC website, if in the top placegetters
- All team members are asked to send in logs, regardless of the number of contacts made, in order to check the results
- In the event that 1 team member’s log is not received then only 2 logs will count towards the team’s final score
- In the event that 2 team members’ logs are not received then the team’s entry will not count in final calculations
Disqualification
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Any violation of the rules
- Use by an entrant of any non-amateur means during the contest including, but not limited to, telephones, internet, instant messaging, chat rooms, Skype, etc. to solicit, arrange, or confirm any contacts during the contest.
- Taking credit for excessive unverifiable QSOs or unverifiable multipliers
- Non-QSY from the call frequency after a CQ call
